The Beginning

After a long flight (in which I could hardly sleep because I was so excited) I finally arrived in Zurich. I bought my ticket to Bellizona and so began my adventure with the Swiss railway system. Once I got to the main train station it was easy to find the right train to take and then ohh man things got pretty. The pictures I took can't do the scenery justice because I was taking them through the train window, but hopefully they will give you an idea of what it's like.

The Kellers have three children. Rossano, who is studying mechanical engineering in Zurich, Cora, who is studying to become a veterinarian in Bern but is home for a few days, and Nevio, who is still in high school. Cora just got a kitten and it's around 7 weeks old (or thereabouts) and about the cutest thing there ever was. Her name is Nirvana.

Cora is currently studying for a bunch of exams so that's was her and her friend did most of the day. After they were done, we took a dip in the pool then went to get some ice cream. My first every Italian gelato!! Except when I was ordering I panicked because I didn't know what I wanted so I ordered dark chocolate and lemon without really thinking. It was an interesting mix but still pretty tasty.

Shortly after the picture below was taken, the other two went back to Carlo's veterinary practice to dissect some cats. Best of a normal day.

On my walk home I saw an original Fiat 500. Almost as cute as an original mini.

Bellinzona is an amazing little town- there are tons of cobblestone streets and fountains and three different castles which I cant wait to go visit. But for now, I'm off to initiation at the vet clinic.
